Project Progress : GAME IS FINISHED

 


So my game is finally finished , after the many long weeks its finally here . To finish off my game , i added a few more thing from the beta and alpha stages, i added in a death scene , a trophy at the end which brings up the restart game , i added a restart button at the top in case you get stuck and i also just re arranged some of the obstacles after some play testing suggested they would be better in different positions. 
To think my original idea was solely based on the game geometry dash to now looking at my game , they are quite different yet still have the same game principles, they are both jumper games in times with the music. i ended up going for amore cartoony , indie game aesethic which i am very happy with especially the parallax background and the animation on some of the obstacles.
Making the game definitely wasn't easy however it was easier then making the 3D game last semester , so i basically toke all the mistakes and lesson   i learned from that game making experience and applied it to making this 2d game , there was a few obstacles along the way but i managed to overcome them which was great . I f i was to create this game again , what would i do differently ? I would probably spend a bit more time on the game over screen and the end game screen and make it seem more rewarding when you complete the game , which i unfortunately wasn't able to do this time as i simply didn't have enough time but is till think what i have done instead works well and doesn't take away from the quality of the gam e.
