2D Unity Tutorial 01

 This weeks tutorial was a simple introduction to creating a 2d character , character script and a world for this character . It was a fun tutorial , overall it was easy to follow and was a nice refresher to some of the coding we did last year . I enjoyed creating the tile map world , not that mine looks any good but its something i never knew you could do in unity. The tutorial on the actual unity site did not work great on steps 1-5 of creating the tile maps however the tutorial video Irene provided us helped a lot and sped up the process a lot. The character control and script part was very easy as it was similar to what we were doing in the tutorials and our own projects , so it was a nice refresher course into the coding side of things since i have not touched unity since before Christmas, but thankfully its all coming back now. I am looking forward to learning more about how to create 2d games in unity as it seems like a lot of fun and easy to learn. Overall a very good week for tutorials and looking forward to progress in Rubys adventure
